Premium Amblers - The best whisky Membership in the world
Each month you receive a package containing 3 x 50mL barrel samples from our ageing cask stocks with tasting notes. You can then join a monthly virtual whisky tasting with our cellar master Rod Berry to explore the story behind each sample, deepening your whisky knowledge, and sharpening your tasting skills.
There is no obligation to purchase anything, but if you do particularly like one of the samples, you can order your own hand-filled bottle. In this way, Premium Amblers will access precious whisky direct from Amber Lane casks that are simply not available to the general public.
What’s the Cost?
To become a Premium Ambler, the fee is $59 per month, or if you pay for a full 12 month’s subscription up-front, we will give you 2 months free, and only charge $590. This is amazing value when you consider that you receive 36 unique cask samples and many hours of whisky education by participating in the virtual tastings.
As a Premium Ambler, you will be able to order any hand-filled bottles that you want for $180 each (subject to availability – first in best dressed), which is a huge saving from the usual cost of our cask-strength whiskies, and exceptional value given that these bottlings are not commercially available outside of the Premium Amblers program.

Other Amblers Programs
We are making changes to our existing Amblers program.
Prior to the launch of Premium Amblers, people could sign-up as an Ambler for $59 per year, and get 10% off the RRP of our standard expressions. We will not be signing up any more $59/year Ambler memberships.
On 1 November 2023, we will be issuing all current Amblers a credit for the $59 they paid to join the program. This $59 credit can be used to reduce the cost of their first Premium Amblers membership if they want to take up that option, or to purchase any Amber Lane product through our webstore.
Moving forward, everyone is allowed to become an Ambler free of charge. Amblers will receive a 5% discount off all of our bottles through our web shop, they will also receive our special quarterly Ambler newsletter, and they will be invited to Amblers events at the distillery.
For those previously signed up as an Ambler, you will not have to do anything – you will be automatically converted over.
