Each month, we give you the chance to peek behind-the-scenes of Amber Lane Distillery at our open day.
Taste our Australian whisky & learn some of the secrets behind our gold medal-winning drams.
Chat with head distiller, Phil, & cellar master, Rod, as they induct you into the alchemical art of whisky production.
Open day booking options:
Tour & tasting (from 12.30pm): an interactive introduction to our operation. View our 3600 litre copper pot still & barrels & enjoy a sit-down tasting of four award-winning whiskies.
Tour & tasting + whisky blending class (3pm): an exclusive deep-dive into the whisky world. Enjoy the distillery tour & tasting, before joining our whisky blending class, where you’ll get to taste & experiment with three samples, taken fresh from our barrels. Make your own unique blend to take home & enjoy.

We love hosting special events at our Central Coast distillery for fans of our whisky.
Whether it’s a private tasting for your whisky club, friend group, corporate colleagues, birthday or hens & bucks’ celebrations, make a visit to Amber Lane part of your next special event!

If it’s too hard to get to the distillery, but you’d still like to enjoy an Amber Lane whisky experience, let us come to you!
We run whisky tastings in people’s homes, at whisky clubs - really anywhere you’d like!
We hold a roving catering licence, which allows us to run whisky tastings & sell bottles of whisky.
Please note: a $200 travel fee applies to all private whisky tastings at your place to cover costs.

Introduction to whisky: a unique whisky tasting experience, fusing good flavour, interesting information & great fun - with no boring bits.
Whisky blending masterclass: a deep-dive into the alchemy of whisky-making. Enjoy our tasting experience, combined with the chance to blend your own 50ml whisky to take home & enjoy.

WHISKY blending MASTERclass
Perfect for whisky lovers ready to dive into the alchemy of how whisky is made.
Taste 5 different whisky expressions - learn how barrel-type, age & alcohol strength influence the whisky tasting experience.
Experience the new make from our distillation process to appreciate the flavours & aromas from the underlying base spirit.
Improve your skills in identifying the flavours & aromas in spirits, including an introduction to the Double Pour comparison technique.
Blend your own whisky using samples drawn from our barrels; learn how to analyse the character of spirit of different strengths from individual casks.
Make your own 50ml blend to take home. At extra cost, order a 700ml bottle of your own unique blend.
