It’s a chance to get a real hands on feel for how we consistently make what are quickly becoming recognised as some of the finest whiskies in the world. Meet the distillers and sample product straight from the barrel. A great day out in the Yarramalong Valley gift and a must for whisky nerds looking to learn more, and share in our growing community.

Choosing Your Perfect Whisky Event
We offer two main options for a whisky tasting event, but we are also happy to develop a unique offering to suit every preference. Our most loved class is the Advanced Tasting, which includes a blending masterclass with each attendee creating their own unique whisky blend. Alternatively, we offer an Introductory Tasting for those who want to become more confident in the basics of whisky appreciation. We can also cater cheese, charcuterie, and fruit platters for your special event. At the end of the evening, you can buy your favourite whisky from the night at special event prices.
Advanced Tasting
This session is more hands on, and loads of fun, and allows us to go behind the scenes to fully appreciate how great whisky is made

experience the new make from our distillation process, so as to appreciate the flavours from the underlying base spirit used in whisky production

Introductory Tasting
This session is ideal for those completely new to whisky appreciation, where terms are explained, and knowledge is acquired through direct sensory experience.

We can run events for as few as 8 people, and for as many as 60 people. If you are organising an event that is designed for business networking as well as whisky learning, then about 20 people is probably the ideal number, but we can adjust the presentation to suit whatever group size you have in mind.

We bring everything needed – glassware, tasting mats, pipettes and plastic syringes, water jugs, flavour wheels. You just need to supply people and water!

One of Amber Lane’s owners, Rod Berry, presents our whisky tastings. Rod is a much sought-after public speaker who loves sharing his passion for whisky. He is an experienced whisky distiller and directs our barrel maturation and blending program at Amber Lane. Rod’s background is in education and the law, and before his recent retirement from legal practice, he was the managing partner of a successful mid-tier Sydney law firm.

Absolutely! Sharing whisky together provides an ideal environment for business networking and/or for building staff morale. Rod has hosted many successful corporate whisky tasting events, including for his own business clients and staff during his time as the managing partner of a Sydney law firm.

No need – Amber Lane is fully licensed to conduct tastings at the client’s premises pursuant to NSW Catering License LIQO660036805. All staff of Amber Lane have full RSA qualifications to supply alcohol.

Yes, and the same pricing applies for Sydney Metro, NSW Central Coast and Wollongong regions. Outside of these areas we will need to work out a pricing structure that covers the additional costs involved in travelling to your event.

Yes, we can develop a special presentation suited to your unique audience. We can also work with other organisations to put on combined events if that is your preference.

Yes, we do these all the time, and are happy to come to your usual meeting place to do a presentation for you.
