AMBER LANE PARTNERS WITH BARREL LANE WHISKY CLUB FOR EXCLUSIVE LIQUID AMBER RELEASE
Amber Lane has again partnered with leading Australian whisky club, Barrel Lane, for an exclusive whisky release.
The special release premium batch 2025 Liquid Amber, available exclusively to Barrel Lane Whisky Club members throughout August, is a premium single-malt whisky, which pays homage to its award-winning predecessors.
Drawn from premier Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks, selected for their depth, complexity & quiet power, the whisky has also been aged in French oak Apera barrels from McWilliam’s Wines in Griffith for further depth and structure.
The whisky was matured for five to six years & slowly reduced to 48% ABV - a strength chosen for balance & refinement.
“Sherry cask whisky tends to be full and rich,” Amber Lane Distillery co-owner Rod Berry explains. “But at 48%, it becomes creamy, elegant & approachable.”
On the nose, expect honey, spice & dried fruit. The palate follows, with layers of raisin, caramel, dark chocolate, cardamon & poached pear. The finish is long, warm & luxurious, with lingering notes of honey, butterscotch & gentle oak spice.
Rated Australia’s equal best single malt at the 2024 International Wine and Spirits Competition, Liquid Amber also picked up gold at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and earned 94 points from Halliday’s new Spirits Guide.
“Liquid Amber is about finding that perfect harmony,” Berry said. “We quietly wait for each cask to be ready, and then we marry them together with care. The whisky itself tells us when it’s done.”
Last year, Amber Lane partnered with Barrel Lane for its inaugural exclusive release, which quickly sold out among members.
