AMBER LANE ACHIEVES COVETED ‘LIQUID GOLD’ IN 2025/2026 JIM MURRAY’S WHISKY BIBLE

Leading Australian distillery, Amber Lane, has been named in the 2025/2026 edition of Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible - one of the only Australian distilleries to make the revered international list.

Four of the Central Coast distillery’s expressions were awarded gold medals in this year’s guide, all receiving scores over 90/100.

Three expressions obtained Murray’s coveted “liquid gold” status, with scores above 94/100, making them some of the best whiskies in the world.

Amber Lane Distillery was one of just a handful of Australian whisky distilleries to make the 2025/2026 list and the only one to achieve “liquid gold” status.

The sold-out Apera 100 expression received 95.5/100, while the multi gold-medal winning Silk Road received 95/100.

Australia’s best whisky, Equinox, was awarded 94/100, while Apera 087 received 91/100. Liquid Amber and Pineau 350 were also recognised in the guide.

Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible is the world’s leading whisky guide. The unrivalled compendium, compiled by Englishman Jim Murray, contains more than 4200 whiskies from around the world, with only a fraction scoring in the coveted “liquid gold” bracket.
