AMBER LANE NAMED ONE OF AUSTRALIA’S BEST WHISKY PRODUCERS AT PRESTIGIOUS 2025 INTERNATIONAL WINE & SPIRITS COMPETITION

Amber Lane has continued its stellar run on the international stage, taking home one of just five gold medals awarded to Australian single malt whiskies at the 2025 International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC).

The distillery’s Equinox expression received a gold medal, with a score of 95/100. It is now one of Australia’s most awarded single malt whiskies, having won gold medals at this year’s IWSC, and in 2024 and 2023 at several major Australian spirits’ competitions.

The other two whiskies in Amber Lane’s core range – Liquid Amber and Silk Lane - also continue their run of success: Liquid Amber received a score of 93/100 at this year’s IWSC, following hot on the heels of a gold medal at the recent 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Silk Road scored 90/100 at the IWSC, following on from a silver medal at the San Francisco awards.

Amber Lane now has a strong claim to the title of Australia’s best core whisky range in 2025, with outstanding results across multiple international competitions so far this year. The results are also reflected in Halliday’s recently launched Spirits Guide, which saw Amber Lane rated as one of Australia’s best whisky producers.

The IWSC is one of the world’s most respected wine and spirits competitions. IWSC awards are highly regarded in the international drinks industry, recognising the quality and excellence of entries. Gold medals are awarded to “examples that stand out as the benchmark in their category, with great personality, character and complexity.”

Amber Lane Distillery co-founder, Rod Berry, said the latest medals cement Amber Lane’s position as one of the most awarded whisky distilleries in Australia.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the continued recognition from the international wine and spirits industry for the calibre and quality of our whiskies,” he said.

“We’re thrilled to see our Equinox expression continue to be acknowledged, both nationally and internationally - such consistency is remarkable for the lowest-priced whisky in our core range, with a RRP of $139.”
