AMBER LANE PARTNERS WITH WHISKY IN ISOLATION FOR COLLABORATION DRAM
Amber Lane Distillery has again partnered with independent bottler, Whisky in Isolation, for a new collaboration release: Twice the Temptation.
This is a whisky born from bold ideas, exceptional casks & the refusal to play it safe. It is jammy, floral & strawberry cream on the nose, leading to red berry, rancio & honey notes on the palate.
The release began from the pair’s original collaboration, Garden of Temptation, which was a richly-layered whisky, matured in sherry casks, before receiving a powerful finish in an ex-Tempranillo wine cask from acclaimed Hunter Valley producer Vinden Wines.
Some of this expression was held back for an experiment driven by curiosity, patience & trust in the process.
The remaining spirit was married with a spirit of a similar age inside a carefully selected 200-litre ex-Heaven Hill Bourbon cask & aged for nearly two years.
The result is a whisky that feels deeper, darker & more seductive than the original release, with decadent sherry richness, dark berries, soft oak, spice & bourbon influence come together in remarkable balance.
Whisky in Isolation is an independent bottler that works exclusively with Australian distilleries to create limited edition, distillery-first whiskies.
Twice the Temptation is $185 for a 500ml bottle; 57% ABV.
Just 96 bottles are available - get in quick via Whisky in Isolation’s website to snap yours up!
